Melissa Osorio is artistic 

Melissa Osorio was born and raised in North Bergen, NJ.  She spent her time growing up participating in the arts through music, writing, photography, videography, and acting.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in May 2016 in Communication and Media Culture through Saint Peter’s University in Jersey City, NJ.  It was there that she learned how to express herself through the arts that she entrusted to be her escape when she younger.  She is currently working towards her MA in Communication and Public Relations at Saint Peter’s University.

Melissa begin music at the age of 6 years old with piano.  At age 9, she began to play clarinet, but she really wanted to learn how to play the saxophone because “Bill Clinton plays it.” At 13, her dream of learning to play the sax came true.  At 15, she bought her guitar and began to teach herself.  Her favorites are clarinet and guitar even though it was her dream to play the sax in a big band jazz ensemble.
